Lou began his career in the healthcare field as a sales rep for V. Mueller in 1974. In 1982, he founded SIRS which included business units CaRepair – Scope repair business / Opex – Laparoscopic instrument leasing and the V. Mueller National Repair Center. In April 1999, he reached an acquisition agreement with Cardinal Health to purchase all the repair services. Separate from these ventures, Lou started O.R. Specialties which evolved into a prominent distributor of surgical products in the Michigan area. In 2003, Lou created InstruMedics LLC with partner Mike Theros with the purpose of offering hospitals a better solution for managing their instrument and equipment service needs.
Michael Theros, President
Michael has over 30 years experience in the surgical instrument repair business. He began his career as a repair technician and started TK Instrument Services, a surgical instrument repair service for the Michigan area. Michael sold his business to SIRS in 1996 and became the director of service operations. Upon the acquisition of SIRS by Cardinal Health, Michael became the Lead Technician for the V. Mueller instrument line. In 2003, Michael formed InstruMedics with partner Lou Agoston and brought to the new company his extensive experience in planning, construction, and operations of multiple repair facilities for instrument manufacturers.
Frank Mohacsi, Vice President of Sales
Frank has over 30 years experience in the healthcare industry including sales, sales management, marketing, in-field and home office based positions, and domestic and international sales for companies such as Johnson + Johnson, Allergan, Bristol Myers and others. Frank started with InstruMedics from the ground up and has gained eight years experience directly in the hospital service and repair market.
John Foley, Director of Service Operations
John brings over 28 years of experience and knowledge in the surgical repair service industry, including 20 years in the field as a repair technician. His career evolved into managing positions at the V. Mueller National Repair Center. John served as Floor Manager overseeing 24 repair technicians and most recently as the Operations Manager. John is an essential part of the InstruMedics team with his vast repair and maintenance knowledge and his ability to lead a team of professionals. John strives to create a well educated and unified team with excellently trained technicians focused on consistent quality repairs.
Steve Hernandez, National Repair Lab Manager
For over 35 years, Steve has operated and opened service businesses in fast paced environments and building person to person business relationships. He has built a career on delivering quality service and exceeding customer expectations.
